Installation Checklist

This form listss the information required by Microsoft® NetShow™ Theater Setup. Depending on the custom options you select, Setup may not prompt you for all the information listed on this form. When you have filled in the appropriate information, print this form. You can use that printed form when running Setup to install NetShow Theater.

Run Setup

Dialog Box Selection Action Required

Welcome Click Continue.

End-User License License Agreement Click YES to accept.

Installation Options Click desired selection.

Setup Options NetShow Theater
Administration Tools
Deselect unwanted options.
Click Next.

Title Server Name Single Server Configuration
Select if single server configuration.
Type title server name.
Click Next.

Network Card Select the card used by NetShow thetaer.
click Next.

Confirm Hardware Displays list of hardware selected. Click Next.

Network Type Network Type:
ATM wth multipoint-to-point [155 Mbps]
ATM [155 Mbps, single-server configuration only]
Switched Ethernet [100 Mbps]
Ethernet [10 Mbps, single content server configuration only] Click network type.
Click Next.

Installation Destinations Click Change Directory or
click Next.

Select Content Drives D E F
[Drive letters vary with installation] Deselect unwanted drives.
Click Next.

Select the Bit Rate Select the maximum bit rate for content Select desired bit rate.
Click Next.

Fault-tolerance Fault-tolerance Mirror factor
No fault-tolerance Confirm mirror factor or deselect
fault-tolerance (not recommended).
Click Next.

Measuring Drives Progress dialog No action required.

Disk Performance Displays performance values. Click Next.

Setup Confirmation Displays calulcated data.
Limit total concurrent viewers to: Enter limit on viewers (optional).
Click Next.

Installation Complete Restart Computers? ClickYes.
